Luigi Einaudi, the University of Turin and the Library of the Laboratory of Political Economy
Luigi Einaudi always maintained a special bond with the University of Turin and with the Laboratory of Political Economy, of which he was appointed Deputy Director from 1901.
As such, he closely followed the development of the Institute's library until the years of World War II when it was displaced to the reduced premises of the Boglione Theatre in Bra. In the meantime, the library was enriched with material from the private collections of the members of the Laboratory, including Cognetti de Martiis; Einaudi himself also contributed with some personal volumes to increase the library's holdings.
The library had a general alphabetical catalogue and a catalogue by subject to facilitate subject searches, as well as the compilation of special bibliographies.
